Professional Team

 

Alex van der Schyff (Director)

 

Obtained his degree in Town and Regional Planning in 1972 and is a member of the following professional organizations:

 

• South African Planning Institute
• The South African Council for Town and Regional Planners
• The Association of Consulting Town and Regional Planners

 

Over the past 38 years Alex has had considerable experience in all fields of town and regional planning (master plans, spatial development frameworks, town planning scheme and township developments), from both the private and local authority points of view. After working as Germiston's Chief Town Planner for 5 years he joined a large multi-disciplinary firm of Architects, Urban Designers and Town Planners, where he was put in charge of the Zimbabwe and later the Port Elizabeth office. Since 1985 he has been in his own practice. Alex is particularly skilled in the field of township design and establishment for low cost housing projects and frequently acts as project manager for such schemes.

Qualified as Town and Regional Planner in 2008. He is currently concentrating on computer-aided drafting development control and township applications.

 

Chris Bothma

 

Obtained his degree in 1978 and is a member of the following professional organisations:
• South African Planning Institute
Since 1984 he has been the Chief Town Planner of Germiston City Council. Between the years 1998 and 2007 he also served as Tribunal Member on the Gauteng Development Tribunal. He resigned from Council in 2008 and
